Survey of 2,000 drivers by insure.com
I don't think that's much of a sample size (personally) but this list seems better than most.
Also, I totally agree with NH drivers being pissed off by MA drivers - and MA drivers being pissed off with RI drivers. As a resident of MA, I can confirm both of those things.

As NoVA resident I am contractually obligated to blame DC and Maryland drivers and claim personal innocence.
Having driven in Boston and Cambridge you MA people deserve each other.

See, this is what people don't get. Drivers around here (I'm in NE) are generally fairly good and really, really polite. They don't block intersections. They let you in when you signal. They will go out of their way to make a fellow motorist's life easier.

Ahaha, I can't really disagree with that statement. To be fair, Boston was never planned with autos in mind. But yeah, people around here drive pretty awful. It doesn't help that Boston has tons of tourists/out-of-town college students that have no idea what they are doing.

Lol that NV drivers are most hated and considered rude by Californians. It's no wonder, these clowns come to town and park in the left lane of any roadway while looking around slack jawed, not paying attention to the roadways, lanes, speed limits, lights, other motorists, and even pedestrians. Maybe if you got out of your cars to walk around instead of being so pedantic then we wouldn't get so frustrated at your driving and no be "so rude".

SO YOUR SAYING THAT I AM A RUDE DRIVER BECAUSE I LIVE IN IDAHO, YOU LIAR!!!!
okay not really, but I can confirm that a lot of Idaho drivers are idiots, and are really rude, I was dueing right under the speed limit going down a hill a couple of days ago (I've only had my license for about a month, and so I was warned I would lose my driving privledges if I got caught doing something stupid) and I was tailgated by a Jeep... at night... with no one around. and the day before that I was tailgated by a stupid sti driver as I was doing right about the speed limit which in reality is really slow for that road, 35 on a 4 lane highway(he could have passed becuase this was also at night on a 4 lane highway with 2 lanes each direction and there was no one in the other lane, but he decided to be an idiot and just stay in my lane, so I turned off the highway and him pass.
And a few days prior, I was undercutted on the right side as there were 2 lanes of traffic merging into 1 (and yes there were cars in front of me, it wasn't like he was going to get where he was going any faster). and earlier that day as I was driving past a parking lot, a driver decides to pass a guy on the right shoulder (on a 2 lane road at a 4 way stop...with a creek on the right that he could have well driven into) the guy who was passed was waiting for another car to go so he could turn left. and the car behind did not have the right of way at all.
so yes, in a little bit less than one month of Idaho drivers licenseship, I can confirm that Idaho drivers are in fact very rude, and often idiots.
PS, I may drive kind of slowly (usually right at or below the speed limit) but I don't tailgate, and signal most if not all lane changes and turns and I try to stay out of peoples blindspots. and this is something that 98% of other idaho drivers don't do.

The biggest issue I have here in WNY is that people keep waving you on at 4-way stops even though it's their fucking turn to go.
I'll literally sit there until they finally move.

Well, Nebraska is rated as one of the most polite states so your observations make sense.

Oh god.
The "I'm more polite than you" game.
Adam Carolla has a brilliant bit about this... can't find it but basically his new thing was to point at the person waving him on, then point at the direction they were indicating to go, then yell "GO!" at them. Said it worked like a charm even if they looked at him like a deranged pyscho.
In my experience, my house is one house in from a stop sign and I live on a dead end street. So going anywhere means I basically roll out of my driveway in 1st gear to said stop sign. Now, this is a very residential area, and a 4 way intersection with only stop signs on the intersecting (my) street.
So what happens a lot of times?
People from the perpendicular direction come to a complete stop. When they have no stop sign. Then they motion for me to go. As an engineer, this blows my mind for about 3 solid seconds while I sit there blinking and whispering "but.... you don't..... have a.... stop sign"

About 25 years ago I was installing new fiber optic systems in rural Nebraska. On the lonely back highways you might not see another car on the road for a half hour. We found out that people in oncoming cars will actually wave at you when they go by you. How friendly is that?

That's pretty damn friendly!! Here in Mass, people might wave at you sometimes but it's only with one finger.
